Letrozone

Description

Letrozone 2.5mg contains Letrozole, a medicine used for the treatment of hormone-dependent breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It works by lowering the level of estrogen in the body, which helps slow or stop the growth of cancers that need estrogen to grow. Doctors also prescribe it to help prevent breast cancer from coming back after initial treatment.

Uses

Letrozone 2.5mg may be prescribed for:

• Breast cancer in postmenopausal women

• Prevention of cancer recurrence after tamoxifen therapy

• Hormone-sensitive tumors as advised by the doctor

How to Use

• Take by mouth once daily, with or without food

• Swallow with a glass of water — do not crush or chew

• Try to take it at the same time every day

• Always follow your doctor’s prescribed dose

Side Effects

Some patients may notice:

• Hot flushes, sweating

• Headache, dizziness, or tiredness

• Joint or muscle pain

• Nausea, stomach upset

• Weight changes

• Vaginal bleeding (in some cases)
