Nimside

Introduction

Nimside 100mg contains Nimesulide, a fast-acting pain reliever and anti-inflammatory agent. It is commonly prescribed for acute pain, swelling, and inflammation associated with muscle injuries, arthritis, dental pain, ENT infections, and post-operative pain.

Indications

Nimside is used in the treatment of:

• Osteoarthritis-related pain

• Post-operative trauma

• Sports injuries

• ENT inflammation (ear, nose, throat)

• Dental pain

• Bursitis / Tendinitis

• Thrombophlebitis (vein inflammation with clotting)

• Pharyngitis (throat inflammation)

Dosage & Administration

• Adults: 1 tablet (100mg) twice daily after meals, or as prescribed by a doctor.

• Swallow whole with water—do not crush or chew.

• Not recommended for children under 12 years.

Side Effects

• Gastric irritation / stomach discomfort

• Nausea or heartburn

• Rare cases of liver-related toxicity

Discontinue immediately and consult a doctor if you notice persistent stomach pain, yellowing of eyes/skin, or fatigue.

Warnings

Pregnancy: Not safe during pregnancy — use only if clearly prescribed.
Lactation: Not recommended during breastfeeding.
Alcohol: Avoid alcohol — it increases risk of stomach and liver side effects.

Precautions

Use with caution in patients with:

• Kidney or liver impairment

• Heart failure

• Salt or fluid depletion

• Elderly patients

Contraindications

Do NOT use Nimside if you have:

• Active peptic ulcer

• Moderate to severe liver disease

• Known allergy to Nimesulide or NSAIDs
