Description

Gabapentin Capsules are oral anticonvulsant and neuropathic pain-relief medications. They are commonly used alongside other therapies for seizure control in patients with epilepsy. Additionally, Gabapentin is prescribed for the management of neuropathic pain and, in extended-release form, for restless legs syndrome (RLS).

Primary Uses

• Seizure control (adjunct therapy in epilepsy)

• Neuropathic pain management

• Restless legs syndrome (extended-release formulations)

Indications

• Partial seizures with or without secondary generalization

• Neuralgia associated with diabetic neuropathy or post-herpetic pain

• Restless legs syndrome (extended-release form)

• Tremors and ataxia (lack of muscle control)

• Visual disturbances

• Gastrointestinal discomfort
