Indication:

This medication is used to treat a chronic viral infection of the liver (hepatitis B)

Contraindication:

This medication is contraindicated in patients with increased blood acidity due to high levels of lactic acid, overweight, enlarged fatty liver, damage to the kidneys, decreased kidney function, drug resistance to anti-retroviral therapy (combination of antiretroviral (ARV) drugs to maximally suppress the HIV virus and stop the progression of HIV disease) and chronic kidney disease

 

Side effects:

The patients taking this medication may experience weakness, headache, fever, increased cough, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or gas

Precautions:

The patients taking this medication must be cautious in cases of  HIV infection (virus that attacks the body’s immune system), kidney problems, liver transplant.
