Filgrastim is a granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF). It stimulates the bone marrow to produce white blood cells and helps lower the risk of infection in patients receiving chemotherapy.
How To Use

Given subcutaneously (under the skin) or intravenously, as prescribed.

Use exactly as directed, usually once daily.

Dose is based on condition, body weight, lab results, and response.

If injecting at home, follow the training and the product leaflet carefully.

Remove from the refrigerator ~30 minutes before use to reach room temperature.

Do not shake. Check for particles/discoloration; do not use if present.
Side Effects
Common: bone pain, headache, muscle aches, fatigue, redness or pain at the injection site.
Get medical help urgently if you develop fever or chills, chest pain, trouble breathing, or signs of an allergic reaction (rash, swelling, severe dizziness, breathing difficulty).
Precautions

Tell your doctor if you have sickle cell disease, lung problems, kidney disease, or past drug allergies.

Do not use if you’re allergic to filgrastim or any component.

Follow the dosing schedule precisely.

Never reuse needles, syringes, or opened single-dose vials.
Storage

Refrigerate (do not freeze). Protect from light.

Keep out of the reach of children and pets.

Do not use after the expiry date.
