Indication:

This medication is used in smoking cessation

Contraindication:

This medication is contraindicated if the patient has seizure, bipolar disorder, bulimia (eating disorder), anorexia nervosa (eating disorder), CNS tumor, and severe hepatic (liver) tumor. Patients experiencing abrupt withdrawals of alcohol or benzodiazepines.

Side effects:

Patients administered with this medication may experience insomnia, headache, fever, dry mouth, GI (stomach and intestine) upset

Precaution:

The patients taking this medication should take precautions as it can increase the risk of seizure in patients with history of head trauma, alcohol abuse, or diabetes.

Pregnancy:

This medication is contraindicated in pregnant females

Lactation:

This medication is contraindicated in nursing females
