Co-Aprovel

Co-Aprovel 150/12.5mg is a combination medicine used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering blood pressure helps reduce the risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney problems.

It contains two active components:

• Irbesartan — relaxes blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood.

• Hydrochlorothiazide — increases urine output, helping the body remove extra salt and water.

Together, they control blood pressure more effectively than when used alone.

Formula

Each tablet of Co-Aprovel 150/12.5mg contains:

• Irbesartan 150mg

• Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg

Dosage Form

Co-Aprovel is available in tablet form for oral use.

Precautions

• Take only as prescribed by your doctor.

• Do not use if you are allergic to irbesartan, hydrochlorothiazide, or similar medicines.

• Inform your doctor if you have kidney disease, liver disease, gout, or diabetes.

• This medicine may lower potassium levels — blood tests may be required during treatment.

• Avoid excessive alcohol, as it can enhance the blood pressure-lowering effect.

• Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not use this medicine without medical advice.

Side Effects

Some patients may notice:

• Dizziness or lightheadedness (especially when standing up quickly)

• Headache or tiredness

• Stomach upset or nausea

• Increased urination

• Muscle weakness or cramps (due to low electrolytes)
