Description
Conosave 150 mg contains Fluconazole, an antifungal medicine used to treat a variety of fungal and yeast infections. It works by inhibiting fungal cell membrane formation, preventing the growth and spread of infection. A single 150 mg dose is commonly prescribed for vaginal candidiasis, while other infections may require prolonged therapy as per medical guidance.
Indications
Used in the treatment of:
-
Vaginal candidiasis (vaginal fungal infection).
-
Candidal balanitis (infection of penile tissue).
-
Mucosal and dermal candidiasis.
-
Tinea pedis (athlete’s foot).
-
Pityriasis versicolor.
-
Systemic candidal infections (candidemia, disseminated candidiasis).
-
Cryptococcal meningitis.
-
Prevention of fungal infections in immunocompromised patients.
How It Works
Fluconazole blocks the enzyme necessary for fungal cell wall synthesis, leading to the death of fungal cells. It is well absorbed orally and distributes into body tissues to act against both localized and systemic infections.
