Uses

According to clinical practice in Pakistan, Esi-Dep 20mg Tablet is used for:

• Treatment of major depressive disorder

• Management of generalized anxiety disorder

• Relief of persistent worry, fear, or nervousness interfering with daily life

• Improving mood, motivation, and social functioning

Indications

• Depression: Escitalopram is prescribed for patients experiencing low mood, loss of interest, lack of motivation, and other depressive symptoms.

• Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD): It helps manage long-term anxiety, excessive worry, and nervousness that affect daily functioning.

How to Use

• May be taken with or without food.

• Usually prescribed once daily, in the morning or evening.

• Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew.

• Follow the prescribed dose strictly.

• Do not discontinue suddenly without medical advice.

Side Effects

Some patients may experience side effects. These are usually mild and improve with continued use:

• Nausea, stomach upset, or dry mouth

• Drowsiness or dizziness

Contraindications
