Description

Etipro 40mg Capsule (14’s)

Manufacturer: ICI Pakistan Ltd.
Generic Name: Omeprazole
Drug Class: Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI)
Form: Capsule

Description

Etipro 20mg Capsule contains Omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor that reduces stomach acid production. It works by blocking the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme system (gastric proton pump) in the stomach’s parietal cells, which is the final step in acid secretion. By lowering acid levels, it provides relief from conditions such as GERD, acid reflux, heartburn, and peptic ulcers, and also helps prevent long-term damage to the food pipe (esophagus).

Uses

Doctors prescribe Omeprazole 20mg Capsules for:

  • Frequent heartburn and acid reflux (GERD)

  • Persistent cough, sour taste, or difficulty swallowing due to acid irritation

  • Stomach and duodenal ulcers (to promote healing)

  • Conditions with excess stomach acid production (e.g., Zollinger–Ellison syndrome)

  • Prevention of recurrent acid-related damage in sensitive patients

How to Use

  • Take by mouth with a glass of water.

  • Best taken 30–60 minutes before a meal (usually breakfast).
