Overview

Femstat 20gm Cream contains Butoconazole, an antifungal medicine used to treat vulvo-vaginal candidiasis (vaginal yeast infection). It works by stopping the growth of Candida albicans and related fungi, relieving symptoms such as itching, burning, irritation, and abnormal discharge. Femstat provides targeted local treatment and is applied directly inside the vagina using the applicator provided.

Uses

Femstat is indicated for the treatment of:

• Vulvo-vaginal candidiasis (vaginal fungal infections)

• Relief of associated symptoms: itching, irritation, burning sensation, and discharge

How to Apply

1. Lie flat on your back with knees bent toward the chest.

2. Insert the filled applicator gently into the vagina as far as comfortable.

3. Push the plunger slowly to release the cream.

4. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and warm water after application.

5. Continue use as prescribed, even during menstruation.

Note: Avoid tampons and scented sanitary products while using this cream. Prefer unscented cotton pads for comfort.

Side Effects

Femstat is generally well tolerated, but some patients may experience:
