Expert Advice
- Take tablets with or without meals. Do not chew or crush the tablet, swallow whole.
- Take oral granules for suspension 30 minutes before meals.
- Do not save granules mixture for later use.
- Contact prescriber immediately if bleeding occurs.
- For oral suspension mix granules with applesauce or apple juice. Do not use any other type of liquid or soft food. Sprinkle the granules directly on to the applesauce and swallow this mixture without chewing.
- Report constant abdominal discomfort, chest pain or palpitations (feeling of the heart beating fast), acute headache, unrelieved diarrhea (watery stools), fatigue, increases muscle/joint/body pain, shortness of breath, wheezing, cold or flu symptoms or changes in the urinary system.
- Patients taking warfarin should follow bleeding precautions.
- Avoid alcohol during treatment.
