Hivate Nasal Spray

Description

Hivate Nasal Spray contains Mometasone furoate, a corticosteroid used to reduce inflammation in the nasal passages. It is commonly prescribed for allergic rhinitis (hay fever and seasonal allergies) to relieve symptoms such as nasal congestion, sneezing, and runny nose. In adults, it is also used in the treatment of nasal polyps, helping reduce swelling and improve airflow.

Precautions

• For nasal use only; do not ingest.

• Use regularly for best results; symptom relief may take a few days.

• Avoid prolonged use without medical guidance.

• Patients with frequent nasal infections, recent nasal surgery, or untreated tuberculosis should use cautiously.

• Children should use only under medical supervision.

Possible Side Effects

• Mild nasal irritation or burning

• Headache

• Nosebleeds (epistaxis)

• Rare: throat irritation, altered sense of smell or taste

• Very rare: hypersensitivity reactions

Contraindications / When Not to Use

• Known allergy to Mometasone or other corticosteroids

• Untreated nasal or sinus infections

• Patients with recent nasal surgery or trauma unless healing is complete

Storage & Disposal

• Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Do not freeze.

• Discard after expiry date or if nozzle is blocked/damaged.
