Description
Rosuvastatin 20mg Tablet works by inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, a liver enzyme responsible for producing cholesterol. By blocking this enzyme, it reduces LDL (“bad”) cholesterol and triglycerides, while modestly increasing HDL (“good”) cholesterol. This helps prevent atherosclerosis, stabilizes plaque buildup in blood vessels, and lowers the risk of heart attack and stroke.
Uses
-
Lowering high LDL cholesterol levels.
-
Managing high triglycerides.
-
Preventing atherosclerosis progression.
-
Reducing cardiovascular risk in patients with hypertension + high cholesterol.
-
Used when lifestyle changes alone are insufficient.

Doctor’s Review — Dr. Muhammad Farooq, MD (Cardiology), Consultant Cardiologist
“Rosuvastatin is one of the most potent statins available and is especially useful in high-risk cardiovascular patients. It effectively lowers LDL levels while being relatively safe when monitored properly. Muscle-related symptoms or liver enzyme changes should be evaluated promptly during long-term therapy.”
