Doctor’s Review, Dr. Nadeem Akhtar – Consultant Infectious Diseases Specialist, MBBS, FCPS (Medicine), Lahore
Jaflex (cephalexin) is a widely used antibiotic that belongs to the cephalosporin group. It is commonly considered in bacterial infections such as those affecting the throat, urinary tract, or skin, particularly in patients who cannot tolerate penicillin. As with all antibiotics, completing the full prescribed course is essential to help prevent resistance. While generally well tolerated, some individuals may experience stomach upset or mild skin reactions. Within infectious disease practice, Jaflex is recognized as a reliable first-line antibiotic when prescribed appropriately.
