Description
Ketomed contains Ketoconazole, a broad-spectrum antifungal medicine. It works by stopping the growth of fungi and yeast that cause skin, scalp, and systemic infections. In topical form (shampoo/cream), it is mainly used for dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, and fungal skin infections. In oral tablet form, it may be prescribed for more serious fungal infections that cannot be treated with topical products alone.

Doctor’s Review, Dr. Hina Qureshi – Consultant Dermatologist, MBBS, FCPS (Dermatology), Islamabad
Ketomed is available as shampoo, cream, and tablets. The shampoo helps control dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis, while the cream works well for skin fungal infections when used regularly. Tablets are reserved for more serious systemic infections and require close monitoring due to possible liver effects. In most cases, the topical forms are safe and effective.
