Klaricid DS-Granules

Overview

Klaricid DS is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections affecting the respiratory tract, throat, ears, skin, or soft tissues. It may also be given in combination with other medicines for the treatment of stomach ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori. Clarithromycin works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, stopping the infection from spreading.

In clinical practice, clarithromycin is generally preferred when patients are unable to tolerate penicillin-based antibiotics. It is known for better tissue penetration compared to some alternatives. How to Use

Shake well before each dose. Take with or without food, although using it with meals may reduce stomach upset. If using multiple doses per day, keep them evenly spaced. Continue treatment for the full prescribed duration, even if symptoms improve early.

Side Effects

Some individuals may experience stomach upset, altered taste, tingling sensation, mouth inflammation, or tongue irritation. Persistent diarrhea or rash should be medically reviewed.
