Indications:

This medication is indicated in patients with constipation and bowel clearence.

Contraindications:

This medication is contraindicated in patients with acute GI conditions, GI obstruction, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, renal (kidney) failure, congestive heart failure.

Precautions:

Elderly and weak patients. restricted sodium intake, renal (kidney) impairment, heart disease and colostomy (surgical procedure).

Adverse effects:

Patients administered with this medication may experience mild abdominal discomfort or gas may occur.
