Levofloxacin 500mg belongs to a group of antibiotics called fluoroquinolones. It is prescribed to treat a variety of bacterial infections by stopping the growth and spread of bacteria. This medicine is effective only against bacterial infections and does not work for viral illnesses such as the common cold or flu.
How to Use

Take Levofloxacin exactly as directed by your doctor.

It can be taken with or without food, but always with a full glass of water.

Try to take it at the same time each day to help you remember.

If you are using the oral solution, take it at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals.

Swallow the tablet whole — do not crush, chew, or break it.

Avoid taking it alongside antacids or products containing calcium, magnesium, iron, or zinc within a 2–3 hour window.

Complete the full course even if you start feeling better.
