Description

Lectrum 3.75mg has Leuprorelin Acetate, a medicine used for hormone-related cancers. It works by lowering certain hormones in the body, which slows down the growth of cancer cells. Doctors usually use it for advanced prostate cancer, breast cancer, and some other hormone-sensitive tumors.

Uses

Lectrum 3.75mg may be given for:

• Advanced prostate cancer

• Breast cancer (in selected cases)

• Other hormone-related cancers

How to Use

• Given only by a doctor or nurse as an injection

• Dose and schedule (every 1, 3, 4, or 6 months) are decided by the doctor

• Do not self-inject; always get it at a clinic or hospital

Side Effects

Some people may notice:

• Bone pain

• Headache

• Hot flashes

• Nausea or stomach upset

• Tiredness

Precautions & Warnings

• Not safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding

• May cause dizziness — avoid driving or heavy work until you know how it affects you

• Do not drink alcohol during treatment

• Symptoms may get worse for a short time when starting (“flare effect”). Doctors may give another medicine for a few weeks to help with this

• Always tell your doctor about allergies or other health conditions before starting

Do not use if you:

• Are allergic to Leuprorelin or similar medicines

• Have serious health problems not cleared by your doctor
