Description

Levomerc 250mg contains Levofloxacin, an antibiotic used to treat different bacterial infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This medicine is only effective against bacterial infections — it does not treat viral illnesses like colds or flu.

Uses

Doctors prescribe Levomerc 250mg for:

• Chest and respiratory infections (bronchitis, pneumonia)

• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Ear infections (otitis externa)

• Eye infections (bacterial conjunctivitis)

• Prostate infections

How to Use

• Take by mouth with a full glass of water

• Can be taken with or without food

• Take at the same time each day

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet

• Avoid taking with dairy, iron, or zinc supplements within 2 hours before or after

• Complete the full course, even if you start to feel better

Side Effects

Possible side effects include:

• Nausea, diarrhea, stomach upset

• Headache, dizziness, or trouble sleeping

• Joint or muscle pain

• Rash or skin sensitivity to sunlight

• Rare but serious: tendon pain, nerve problems, or abnormal heart rhythm
