Indications:

This medication is used for lowering blood pressure in hypertensive (increased blood pressure) patients and for treating edema (excess fluid in the body) associated with heart disease. It can also be used to treat Nephrotic Syndrome.

Storage:

Please keep medicine away from excessive light, moisture, and children. Please do not flush medicines down the toilet.

Administration:

This medicine is mostly taken orally (through the mouth). The dosage is dependent on the severity of condition and response to treatment. Please consult your doctor before use.

Side Effects:

You may experience the following:

• Anorexia (weight loss)
• abdominal discomfort

• Patients with kidney disease should be cautious
• Patients with gout should be cautious
• Patients with high cholesterol concentrations should be cautious

This medication is contraindicated in both these conditions.
