Maltofer-fol tablet contains iron in the form of iron hyrdoxide polymaltose (iron carbohydrate compound) and folic acid. It is used for the treatment of iron deficiency in adults and adolescents where the use of ferrous iron supplements is not tolerated or is otherwise inappropriate. It is indicated in treatment of iron deficiency without anaemia and iron deficiency anaemia, and prevention of iron and folic acid deficiency before, during and after pregnancy (during lactation).
