Description
Cefixime 400 mg is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used for treating a variety of bacterial infections. It belongs to the cephalosporin group and works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, which weakens the bacteria and eventually leads to their destruction. Doctor’s Review
“Cefixime is a reliable antibiotic in my practice, particularly for respiratory and urinary tract infections. Patients usually tolerate it well, and its once-daily dosing makes adherence easier. However, like all antibiotics, it should only be used under medical supervision and for confirmed bacterial infections, not for viral illnesses like flu or common cold.”
