Doctor’s Overview — Dr. Sana Qureshi, MBBS, FCPS (Ophthalmology)
Methox Compd Eye Drops (Dexamethasone + Chloramphenicol) are used for bacterial eye infections with significant inflammation. The antibiotic controls infection, while the steroid reduces redness and irritation. Use should be limited to the prescribed duration, as prolonged steroid use in the eyes may lead to complications such as glaucoma or cataracts.
