Metrox

Description

Metrox tablets combine Diloxanide Furoate, a luminal amoebicide that acts inside the intestine to kill amoeba, with Metronidazole, a well-known antibacterial and antiprotozoal agent. Together, they provide a dual action treatment for amoebiasis and other parasitic infections by clearing both intestinal and tissue stages of the parasite.

Indications

Doctors may prescribe Metrox for:

• Intestinal amoebiasis (acute or chronic)

• Amoebic dysentery

• Amoebic liver abscess (with additional therapy)

• Giardiasis (infection of the small intestine)

• Infections caused by E. histolytica

How It Works
