Description
Sartan 50mg contains losartan potassium, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that helps relax blood vessels by preventing the action of angiotensin II, a natural substance that causes tightening of blood vessels. This mechanism helps reduce vascular resistance and pressure on the heart.

Uses

In Case of Overdose
Symptoms may include low blood pressure, dizziness, fainting, or rapid heartbeat. Immediate medical attention is advised in case of suspected overdose.

Missed Dose
Take as soon as remembered. If it is close to the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double.

How to Use
Swallow the tablet whole with water, preferably at the same time each day.

When Not to Use

• Known allergy to losartan or any ARBs

• Severe liver impairment

• Pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimester

• Concomitant use with aliskiren in diabetic patients
