Thelmox

Description

Thelmox 100 mg contains Mebendazole, an anti-worm medicine used to eliminate common intestinal parasites such as roundworm, pinworm (threadworm), whipworm, and hookworm. It works by blocking the worm’s ability to absorb glucose, eventually leading to their death and removal through stool. This tablet is chewable and orange-flavored, making it easier for children above 2 years to take.

Key Uses

Thelmox is used for treating:

• Pinworm (Enterobius vermicularis)

• Roundworm (Ascaris lumbricoides)

• Whipworm (Trichuris trichiura)

• Hookworm (Ancylostoma duodenale, Necator americanus)

Not effective for cysticercosis (pork tapeworm infection in tissues or brain).

How to Take

• Chew before swallowing.

• For young children, crush and mix with a small amount of soft food (e.g., yogurt or jam).

• Always wash hands and maintain hygiene to avoid re-infection.

Common Side Effects

Most people tolerate it well. Rarely, mild effects include:

• Stomach pain or discomfort

• Diarrhea or nausea

• Dizziness or headache

• Rash or itching (very rare)
