Avoid this medication if:

• You are allergic to this medicine or its contents.
• You are going to use it on a wound or cut.
• You have a medical history of: blood pigmentation disorder known as porphyrias.

Consult your doctor if:

• You are pregnant, planning to have a child, or breastfeeding.
• This drug is to be used in children.
• You have a history of addiction, or drug abuse
• You have a medical history of diabetes, chicken pox, herpes, fungal infections, any liver disease.
• Inform your physician about any other medication you are taking.
• You cannot tolerate any of the side effects of this medicine, or develop any rare but serious side effects; such as seizures.

Be careful about:

• Alcohol consumption.
