Indications:
This medication is indicated in patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer’s disease (brain disorder).
Pregnancy:
No evidence of risk has been found. Pregnant females should consult their doctors for further guidance.
Lactation;
This medication is not recommended in lactating females.
Contraindications:
This medication is contraindicated in patients with severe hepatic (liver) or renal (kidney) impairments. GI or urinary outflow obstruction, bladder or GI surgery.
Precautions:
Diagnosis and treatment must be done by a Specialist in Alzeimer’s dementia. Moderate hepatic (liver) impairment, cardiac (heart) conduction disturbances, recent MI, unstable angina, bladder or GI surgery. Warn patients to report rash.
Side effects:
The patient administered with this medication may experience GI upset, fatigue, dizziness, headache, weightloss, fall, confusion, hypertension (high blood pressure), depression, bradycardia (low heart rate), muscle spasm and Steve Johnson syndrome (serious skin disorder).
