Phenylephrine is a decongestant that is used to treat stuffy nose and sinus congestion caused by the common cold, hay fever, or other allergies. Phenylephrine is a medication primarily used as a decongestant, to dilate the pupil, increase blood pressure, and relieve hemorrhoids. When taken orally as a decongestant, it relieves nasal congestion due to colds and hay fever.
How To Use
- Take phenylephrine by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor, usually once daily.
- Chew the chewable tablets; do not swallow them.
- If using dissolving (tablets or strips), dry the hands before handling the medicine. Place each dose on the tongue and allow dissolving completely, and then swallow it with saliva or with water.
- Take this product regularly to get the most benefit from it.
- To help you remember, take it at the same time each day.
- Follow the diet planrecommended by your doctor or dietician.
- Dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment.
- Do not increase your dose or take this product more often than directed.

- Hands should be washed thoroughly before use of the medicine.
- Contact lenses should be removed before use. And wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.
- Medication to be instilled into eyes by first tilting your head back & look upward, then instill drops or apply a thin layer inside the lower lid. Close eye & roll your eyeballs in all directions. And don’t blink for next 30 seconds.
- If you experience any eye pain, vision changes, burning sensation in the eye, & severe headache; then immediately contact your prescriber.
- Avoid touching the applicator tip with the eye.
- If you have any other medication to apply, then take a 5 minutes’ break & then apply.
