Filgrastim is a granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) derivative derived from humans. It promotes the formation of white blood cells and tends to reduce the risk of infection in cancer patients receiving chemotherapy.
How To Use
- It is injected beneath the skin or into a vein, depending on the filgrastim formulation.
- Use as instructed by your doctor, often once day.
- The dosage is determined by your health condition, bodyweight, laboratory tests, and treatment response.
- If you are using Filgrastim at home, make sure you understand all preparations and administration directions from your doctor and the product packaging.
- Allow Filgrastim to come to room temperature by removing it from the refrigerator at least half an hour before injecting it.
