Description
Maxflow-D is a prescription medicine that combines Tamsulosin HCl (0.4mg) and Dutasteride (0.5mg). It is specially designed for men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) — a non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland. By relaxing prostate and bladder neck muscles and reducing the size of the prostate, Maxflow-D helps improve urine flow, relieves symptoms such as frequent or difficult urination, and lowers the risk of urinary retention or surgery.
How It Works
-
Tamsulosin HCl blocks α1a and α1d adrenergic receptors in the prostate and bladder neck, relaxing muscles and improving urinary flow.
-
Dutasteride inhibits 5-alpha-reductase (type 1 & 2), lowering dihydrotestosterone (DHT) levels — the hormone responsible for prostate growth. This reduces prostate size over time and prevents disease progression.
