Description

Melas-H Cream combines two active ingredients: Fusidic Acid, an antibiotic that kills the bacteria responsible for skin infections, and Hydrocortisone Acetate, a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, redness, swelling, and itching. This dual action makes it effective for treating skin conditions where infection and inflammation occur together.

Indications

Melas-H Cream is used for:

• Eczema or dermatitis that has become infected with bacteria

• Other localized skin infections accompanied by redness, swelling, or irritation

How It Works

• Fusidic Acid targets and destroys bacteria at the site of infection

• Hydrocortisone Acetate calms the body’s inflammatory response, reducing swelling, itching, and discomfort

Dosage & Administration

Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected area, as directed by your doctor. The dosage and duration of treatment depend on the severity of infection and skin condition. Avoid applying near the eyes unless specifically instructed.

Side Effects

Possible side effects may include:

• Local itching, rash, or irritation at the site of use

• Thinning of the skin with prolonged use

• Red rash around the mouth or chin

• Stretch marks or visible small veins near the surface

• Skin color changes or excessive hair growth in treated areas

• Rarely, increased eye pressure if used near the eyes (glaucoma)

Warnings & Precautions

• Long-term or excessive use increases the risk of side effects

• Do not apply to open wounds, nostrils, ears, lips, or genital areas unless advised by a doctor

• Prolonged use may cause adrenal suppression (symptoms include tiredness, low mood, anxiety), which improves after stopping treatment

• Avoid use if allergic to fusidic acid, hydrocortisone acetate, or any ingredient in the cream

• Not suitable for acne rosacea
