Roxicam

Description

Roxicam 20mg (by Wilson’s) contains Piroxicam, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It reduces pain, swelling, and stiffness caused by arthritis and other painful conditions. Each capsule contains Piroxicam 20mg.

Uses

• Pain relief.

• Reduction of inflammation.

• Treatment of arthritis and related conditions.

Indications

• Osteoarthritis.

• Rheumatoid arthritis.

• Ankylosing spondylitis.

• Acute gout.

• Juvenile chronic arthritis (JCA).

• Musculoskeletal pain (sprains and strains).

• Painful menstruation.

• Migraine.

How to Use

• Take orally after meals with water.

• Swallow capsule whole; do not crush or chew.

• Follow prescribed dose (varies by age and condition).

Side Effects

Common: Nausea, stomach upset, rash, fatigue, swelling, ringing in ears.
Serious (rare): Gastrointestinal bleeding, liver problems, severe allergic reactions.

Precautions

• Not recommended during pregnancy (especially 3rd trimester) or breastfeeding.

• Use with caution if you have kidney, liver, or heart disease.

• Patients with asthma, high blood pressure, vascular disease, or stomach ulcers should consult a doctor first.

• May cause drowsiness — avoid driving or operating machinery.

Contraindications

• Allergy to Piroxicam, aspirin, or other NSAIDs.

• History of stomach ulcers or bleeding.

• Severe kidney, liver, or heart dysfunction.
