Description
Seloxx (Celecoxib) is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) belonging to the COX-2 inhibitors class. It provides anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects by selectively inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), which reduces prostaglandin synthesis responsible for pain and inflammation. Unlike traditional NSAIDs, celecoxib generally spares COX-1, lowering the risk of stomach ulcers while still offering strong relief from pain and inflammation.

Doctor’s Review
Dr. Imran Qureshi – Consultant Rheumatologist
“Celecoxib is a COX-2 selective NSAID that helps manage pain and inflammation effectively, particularly in arthritis and acute pain conditions. It has a lower risk of gastric irritation compared to traditional NSAIDs, but patients with cardiovascular, kidney, or liver conditions must use it cautiously under medical supervision.”
