Introduction
Levofloxacin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that belongs to the fluoroquinolone class. In Pakistani medical practice, it is commonly prescribed for a wide range of bacterial infections. It works by stopping bacteria from multiplying, making it effective in treating serious infections. It is not effective against viral infections such as flu or the common cold.
How it Works
Levofloxacin inhibits bacterial enzymes responsible for DNA replication and repair. This action prevents bacterial growth, allowing the body’s immune system to clear the infection.
