Description

Xenocit Tablet contains Levocetirizine, the active (R)-enantiomer of Cetirizine, known for its potent and selective blocking of peripheral H1 histamine receptors. It helps prevent the effects of histamine, a chemical released during allergic reactions, thereby reducing common allergic symptoms.

Primary Uses

Used to relieve symptoms associated with:

• Seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis (hay fever).

• Watery or itchy eyes.

• Sneezing and nasal congestion.

• Runny or itchy nose.

• Skin allergies like urticaria (hives) and itching.

How It Works

Levocetirizine blocks histamine receptors, preventing histamine from binding and triggering allergic responses.
Result: Reduced swelling, itching, and secretion without causing significant drowsiness in most patients.

Dosage & How to Use

• Adults & Children (6+ years): Usually 1 tablet (5mg) once daily, preferably in the evening.

• Take with water, with or without food.

• Do not exceed recommended dose.
