Description
Zocef 500 MG Tablet contains Cefuroxime, a broad-spectrum antibiotic belonging to the cephalosporin class. It is used to treat a range of bacterial infections, including those affecting the lungs, nose, throat, ears, skin, and bladder. Additionally, it is prescribed for the treatment of gonorrhoea, a sexually transmitted infection caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae bacteria.
By targeting and killing the bacteria, Zocef helps prevent the infection from spreading. It is important to note that Zocef is ineffective against viral infections, such as the common cold or flu.

Its versatility makes it suitable for various infections, including those affecting the respiratory and urinary systems. However, it’s crucial to complete the full prescribed course, even if you start feeling better, to avoid resistance. Always consult your doctor if you’re unsure about combining it with other medications, especially antacids or stomach acid reducers.”
