Description

Zylexx SR 150mg contains Bupropion HCl, an antidepressant that works by selectively inhibiting the reuptake of catecholamines (noradrenaline and dopamine) in the brain. Unlike many other antidepressants, it has minimal effect on serotonin and does not inhibit monoamine oxidase. Although its exact mechanism is not fully known, it is thought to improve mood, energy, and motivation through noradrenergic and dopaminergic pathways.

Indication

How it Works

When Not to Use

• Have a CNS tumor.

• Are undergoing sudden withdrawal from alcohol, benzodiazepines, or antiepileptic drugs.

Precautions

• All patients on antidepressants should be monitored for worsening depression, suicidal thoughts, or behavioral changes, especially in the first few months or during dose adjustments.

• Caution in patients with cardiovascular disease – limited clinical data available.

• Discontinue if hypersensitivity reaction occurs.
