Freehale Montelukast is used for the prevention and long-term treatment of asthma, allergic rhinitis (hay fever), and breathing difficulties caused by exercise. It works by blocking substances in the body called leukotrienes, which cause narrowing of the airways and inflammation. By reducing this effect, it helps keep the airways open, making it easier to breathe and preventing asthma attacks.

• Asthma maintenance therapy

• Seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis (sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion)

• Prevention of exercise-induced asthma

Indications
Doctors prescribe Freehale Montelukast for patients with mild to moderate asthma who need long-term control, for those with frequent allergy symptoms, and for individuals who experience breathing problems during exercise.

Side Effects
Some patients may experience headache, stomach pain, diarrhea, tiredness, or sore throat. Rarely, mood changes, agitation, or skin rash may occur.

Warnings
Pregnant and breastfeeding women should only use this medicine if advised by a doctor. Patients with psychiatric history should inform their doctor, as mood-related side effects are possible.

Precautions
This medicine is not for emergency relief of asthma attacks. Always keep a quick-relief inhaler available. Inform your doctor if you have liver disease or are on long-term medications.

Contraindications
Do not use Freehale Montelukast if you are allergic to Montelukast or any of its ingredients.
