How It Works

• Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine that blocks histamine, a natural chemical responsible for allergy symptoms.

Dosage

• Take by mouth with or without food as prescribed by your doctor.

• Swallow syrup as directed; do not exceed the prescribed dose.

• Take at the same time each day for best results.

In Case of Overdose

• Symptoms: extreme drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision

• Seek immediate medical attention.

Missed Dose

• Take as soon as remembered unless it’s near the next scheduled dose.

• Do not double the dose.

When Not to Use

• Allergy to Chlorpheniramine.

• Heart disease, narrow-angle glaucoma, bladder obstruction, symptomatic prostate hypertrophy.

• Acute asthmatic attacks.

• Children under 1 year of age.

• Fatigue, blurred vision, attention disturbances.

Precautions

• Avoid driving or operating machinery due to drowsiness.

• Limit or avoid alcohol.

• Use caution in epilepsy, high blood pressure, kidney or liver disease, thyroid disorders, asthma, and in elderly patients.

• Consult your doctor during pregnancy or lactation.
